The thorny savannah

A full day excursion to reach an undeveloped, open area, with diverse habitats and a very rich birdlife. A mix of humid grassland, reedbeds and riverine forest and a savannah with scattered thorny trees with characteristic bird species associated.

The journey itself (2 hours each leg) offers good birding spots. Minimum 10 hours. Diversity of ovenbirds and spinetails, flycatchers and raptors. White Fronted Woodpecker, Savannah Hawk, Scarlet Headed Blackbird, and much more.
